Trump refuses to denounce multiple speakers racist speeches calling the MSG Rally a "Love fest"

The former president denied knowing the comedian who made a slew of racist, sexist and vulgar comments at his rally at Madison Square Garden, ABC News Senior Congressional Correspondent Rachel Scott reports.

That comedian, Tony Hinchcliffe, drew headlines in part for calling Puerto Rico an "island of floating garbage."

"I don't know him, someone put him up there. I don't know who he is," Trump told ABC's Scott.

Trump also insisted he didn't hear any of the comments, even as they've been played on television and written about extensively. When asked what he made of them, he did not take the opportunity to denounce them, repeating that he didn't hear the comments.

His campaign has said the comedian's comments don't reflect the views of Trump or the campaign.

Trump also expressed confidence that he will win the White House with just a week to go.

Perhaps Trump shouldn't be so confident about winning.

The president of the Puerto Rican Republican Party, Ángel Cintrón, said on Jugando Pelota Dura that he will not vote for presidential candidate Donald Trump if he does not apologize to Puerto Rico.

The tenor of that event and what was said prompted many to compare it to the infamous Nazi Rally that took place at Madison Square Garden 1n 1939.

Republicans, Democrats, and undecided voters have come to the defense of Puerto Rico on social media spotlighting the necessity of statehood if they still want it after this shitshow.

Without it, American citizens living in Puerto Rico who have never lived in the States can not vote in presidential elections leaving them relatively easy fodder for fascists.

En cuanto al resto de nosotros, amamos a Puerto Rico.
