DC Transgender woman suing city for Jailhouse Rape

Known only as Jane Doe, a DC transgender woman is suing the city after a night of hell. It began as a police lieutenant opened her "House alone" jail cell despite her objections, and let in a man who was already being investigated for a jailhouse rape, not once but three times.
The police report taken after Jane Doe returned from the hospital where it was verified she was 'traumatized' was only three sentences long. The city is defending itself by asserting the injury was the victims own fault because she was incarcerated.

News4's Jackie Bensen spoke with a transgender woman, who is suing the D.C. government, claiming she was sexually assaulted by a man who was deliberately placed in her cell. According to documents obtained by News4, the man was already under investigation for another jailhouse rape.

Brazilian Lawmaker calling for LGBT Hate bill vote over Christian's objections

Senator Ana Rita is calling for a vote on a bill that could give an additional three years in prison for hate crimes committed against LGBT people.

The vote has been postponed six times by evangelicals. They have been fighting this tooth and nail saying it would limit their freedom of speech. But when questioned why they say that they don't hate anyone they just don't want their freedom of speech curtailed.

They don't hate the perpetrators of crimes against LGBT people in their country which year after year has led the world in LGBT murders.

The Global Rights report includes statistics from the Brazilian Secretariat of Human Rights that indicate trans Brazilians accounted for slightly more than half of the 300 reported LGBT murder victims in the country last year. The group noted an estimated 52 percent of them were people of color.
Grupo Gay da Bahia, a Brazilian advocacy group that has tracked anti-LGBT violence in Brazil for nearly two decades, said it saw a 21 percent increase in LGBT murders in the country between 2011 and 2012. The organization reported 128 of the 338 reported LGBT homicide victims in Brazil in 2012 were trans. ~ Washington Blade.

Evangelicals don't want there freedom of speech denied .
