Seems Rupaul's is trying to drum up support for the next season of the tired drag show and as usual he's doing so by offending the sensibilities of the transgender community.

But this time he feels like the one being offended attacking GLAAD who FINALLY begun calling out gay men for using defamatory language.

RuPaul compares his show business acting career comically imitating woman with the presidential race:

"Politicians are really like show people, people in show business -- except that they have not as good costumes in politics. You have to appeal to the masses in show business. You appeal to Betty and Joe Beer Can. For someone like Obama to survive -- he's a very smart man -- he's had to do some dumb things because people don't want the truth. In essence Rupaul says politicians and actors are the same in that the abdicate morality to play a popularity contest. I'm sure there's at least a few actors and politicians who would also say you are not speaking for them!

Rupaul is much the same as the gay man, Sand in the Crack who recently featured in the Tampon ad. Both are perfectly willing to sell their souls for a dollar regardless of the consequences to other human beings.

But RuPaul is extraordinary horrible in that he tries to speak as a authority for transgender people.

ABC Work It is Axed! WE WIN!

ABC PULLS WORK IT AFTER TWO EPISODES!!

We can't take all the credit for Work It's demise, it was just god awful. But we will bask in this victory. Work It's problematic transphobia inspired people internationally to consider our shared humanity and after reading our petition they signed by the thousands in solidarity.

People came from all corners of the globe to stand shoulder to shoulder with us making our planet just a little more friendly to everyone.

We couldn't have done this alone. We were stagnated around 200 signatures until a article written by Emerson Whitney was published on Huffington Post. That kick started our petition and coupled with the Dallas Transgender Advocate and Allies event and a Care2 guest post I was so graciously invited to write, our cause began to gain some legs.

Then HRC and GLAAD stepped in and added their support but sadly without mentioning the grass roots advocacy that had preceded their involvement.

But our victory highlights just exactly what transgender people can do when we take possession and responsibility for our condition. We can change the world!

Now I hope that the president of ABC Paul Lee is a little more understanding of what made Work It so very offensive. Paul Lee stated it's in his contract he's obligated to produce "cross Dressing" shows. If he attempts a show about gender diversity again lets hope he does it with intelligence, insight, compassion and reality.

The reality is Paul Lee, the world demands it.

Rep. Richard Floyd, Tennessee Legislator Promises To "Stomp A Mudhole" In Me

The face of hatred of all that is gender gifted, Rep. Richard Floyd author of the Tennessee house transgender hate bill HB2279 is quoted as saying:

“I believe if I was standing at a dressing room and my wife or one of my daughters was in the dressing room and a man tried to go in there — I don’t care if he thinks he’s a woman and tries on clothes with them in there — I’d just try to stomp a mudhole in him and then stomp him dry,”

The same day that Floyd's threat was made public Tennessee Sen. Bo Watson, R-Hixson who had sponsored the Senate version of the house hate bill abandoned Floyd, withdrawing the bill. Watson said he sponsored the bill as a standard courtesy to local House members, but there was more pressing issues and he didn't want to get "Side Tracked". The truth is Watson agrees with Floyd, he's just trying to say his pathetic political ass.

What does Stomp a Mudhole and walk it dry" mean? The Urban Dictionary defines it as: "To tear someone a new ass, to beat them to near death or to otherwise hurt someone to the point that they can not fight back."

This threat by a Tennessee Representative towards people he was in trusted to protect must not go unpunished let alone dismissed as unimportant as Senator Watson wishes. When this article went to press the people of Tennessee have voted in a poll by a margin of 88% in favor of letting transgender people use the public accommodations that are in line with our gender presentation.

To do otherwise for transgender people would be to invite beatings as Tennessee Legislator Rep. Richard Floyd promised he would do to me.

I'm buying a Case of Girl Scout Thin Mints For Equality

Everyone is sure to have read the heartwarming story of the transgender girl, Bobby Montoya, who after initially being turned away by the Girl Scouts was later invited to join.


Well, its not over yet as one Girl Scout has initiated a campaign to ruin the annual Cookie fund raiser as her way of protesting the Girl Scouts inclusivity.

I think equal rights is at issue here but most importantly we must consider what affect this transphobic hyperbole has on young girls, be they cisgender or transgender. That being said, our contribution to the well being of these youth begins with signing and sharing the petition and eating Thin Mints for Equal Rights.

Baltimore Democrat Proposes Law allowing Employers to determine Public Accommodation Access

The proposed amendment by Maryland Democratic Tom Quirk apparently supported by Gender Rights Maryland AKA Equality Maryland would empower employers to discriminate.

According to the Columbia Patch "the primary aim of the bill is to protect transgendered workers from discrimination and firing because of their sexual identity."

Really, sexual identity? The article references the Chrissy Pollis McDonald's attack as the motivation for the bill.

Chrissy was not covered under McDonald's non discrimination policy had she been a employee there. And theres still nothing in the McDonalds employees handbook educating people about transgender people despite 250,000 people signing a petition asking that McDonalds do so!

Clearly its up to the government to mandate equality.

Possibly as a bone to the opponents a provision would be added allowing employers to determine if transgender people could use a public facility.

"The bill will also contain language dealing with the use of public accommodations, including public restrooms. The language in the bill will allow employers the flexibility to set their own rules on the use of restrooms, Quirk said."

The proposal redefines public accommodations:

"Public accommodations means any place which holds itself out as inviting the public to utilize its goods and services, whether or not for profit. PUBLIC ACCOMMODATIONS DOES NOT INCLUDE ACCOMMODATIONS THAT ARE DISTINCTLY 8 PRIVATE OR PERSONAL. Click for the PDF of the bill

Presumably this is what would allow employers the option on whether of not to allow trans people into restrooms.

Even though the Maryland bill that was defeated last year DID NOT have public accommodations the article for SOME reason blames public accommodations for its defeat on the floor.

That's not what happened. Transgender people of Maryland rejected that bill.

Dee Dee Pearson Memorial Today December 29 at 6pm

As we all know now a Kansas City Transgender woman Dee Dee Pearson was murdered on Christmas eve.

The killer reportedly confessed to murdering Dee Dee "after" paying her for sex and discovering she has a penis. I will not take his word that he paid her for sex. I will call out media sensationalizing this tragedy as a 'prostitute murder'. I will call out media for not using her preferred name and misgendering Dee Dee.

I would wager that after having sex with a transgender woman this 'man' killed her to preserve his 'macho' image. I will also contest his defense which undoubtedly will revolve around the vile and discredited 'Trans Panic' plea.

According to The Kansas City Anti-Violence Project (KCAVP) there will be a public memorial for Dee Dee Pearson today Thursday December 29th hosted by Alvin Brooks at her apartment on East 43rd St. at 6pm.

Disney Resorts "It Gets Better" Video For Transgender People? NO ABC WORK IT!

"The Walt Disney Corporation has put out a video for the It Gets Better project.
George Kalogridis, president of the Disneyland Resort and a member of Out & Equal’s Board of Directors, opens the video with "This message is for ANYONE who has been bullied, harassed or teased for being different, it gets better"

Mr. Kalogridis a company owned by Disney is intentionally provoking, bullying and harassing transgender people and I am asking you to make it "get better!"

ABC has targeted transgender people specifically provoking outrage with its dehumanizing bathroom meme as they promote the Sitcom "Work It". But this has only served to create a backlash from worlds population.

People living in Czech Republic, Turkey, Israel, France, Netherlands, Germany, Canada, Australia, Brazil, Nova Scotia have signed objecting to Work It, AND THAT'S JUST THE FIRST PAGE of the Transgender petition ABC do Not Air the Sitcom "Work It" which currently has 4,389 signatures.

If you read more of the comments you will also see that those who are signing are mainly non transgender (Cisgender) people. This comes as no surprise to me since we are but 1% of the worlds population, being the most impoverished and decimated minority.

But our support is coming as a surprise to the president of ABC who had not counted on that when he green lighted the campaign and essentially said he didn't care what people thought of it or what harm it caused as long as it amused him.

He was wrong. And a notice. Those companies who choose to advertise on this show if it airs, will also become the target of the worlds indignation.

This is a major fail by ABC a Walt Disney Company. Mr. George Kalogridis, make this "get better".

Now I understand you are but a cog in the massive Disney Corporation but since the The Walt Disney Company's logo highlighted the "It gets better" project and Walt Disney owns ABC I feel it would be incumbent on you to advocate for human dignity and add your voice to worlds condemnation of "Work It".

ABC Don't Tell me Your "Work It" Picture Isn't about Me. Its Killing Me.

Things are so desperate, I am wondering am I strong enough to keep my new job after only three months .My mind and soul hurt. I break down often when I get home. So much damage has been done.

Flip to my life in bold: Today as I exited a stall in the women's room the ten ladies waiting suddenly ceased their light hearted banter. As I washed my hands I could literally feel the hate boring into my back. Dead silence.

Seven percent of respondents reported being arrested or detained in jail due only to their gender identity.(myself being one of that 7% who responded we had been arrested simply for being transgender on the Task Force's survey.

The bathroom was so crowded because the shipping department meeting just ended. The one that the vice president of my company assured me the subject of sexual harassment (they do not have gender protections) would be raised. It was not, again.


Today the cumulative effect of the 3 months of harassment, ostracization, physical assaults and just evil vitriol gossip made me wonder, why am I working? My kitty stripy baby and my first apartment in 20 years?


If I went back to the streets what then? Nothing certain but one thing. I would rid myself of this hateful place and people once and for all. I would also lose all of my self respect and dignity. Why even breath then?

And it all started with a rumor on my very first day of employment. It spread like wildfire that I was using the men's room. That sort of hateful rumor is given visual conformation by this image published by ABC "Work It". So ABC don't tell me your picture isn't about me. Its killing me.

HRC Starts ABC "Work It" Petition leaving Trans Activists in the Lurch

The Human Rights campaign true to form once again ignores grassroots advocacy and commits to an action without even as much as contacting the people it portends to advocate for.

We saw that recently with DADT. HRC didn't repeal DADT the people who chained themselves to the White House fence did. HRC was acquiescenting to political pressure and would have remained silent if not for Get Equal and friends.

Just like they did when Barney Frank divided ENDA into two separate bills one sexual orientation the other gender expression. HRC would have remained silently complaisant if not for us protesting on their doorsteps.

HRC has unilaterally begun a separate petition to ABC after Joe Solmonese' request to moderate Work IT were ignored. Maybe that was fortunate because the very idea that Solmonese could be in a position to create social conscripts regarding the treatment of transgender people in television sends a shiver down my back.

A well intentioned cisgender friend alerted me to the HRC petition. She posted on my facebook wall

"Thanx Kelli Anne Busey for getting the ball rolling on petitioning ABC about this disgusting show. Now HRC has a petition as well please sign let people know that mocking women is not funny."

We didn't just "get the ball rolling" so gay.com could bulldoze our efforts at self empowerment for the sake of self promotion!
We are the ones who are directly suffering from the images ABC is promoting. We are the activists who have a successful petition without so much as a peep from gay.com's media mafia.

As divisive as HRC's efforts are I am not discouraging anyone from signing HRC's petition but I ask you if you do so, sign the petition from the transgender community also.

HRC's petition probably will no more stop ABC from showing Work it than our's will but its about a whole lot more than that. Regardless of the outcome its about transgender empowerment. Its about us taking responsibility for our community. Its about our gay and lesbian allie's support. Its about a world of cisgender people who object to the dehumanizing effects of Work it's images.

It's not about this battle specifically. Its about transgender people joining the world to do the right thing.

ABC Work It Ups the Hate with Men Peeing in Dresses

ABC president Paul Lee baited the transgender community into action and when he saw that the Dallas Transgender Advocates and Allies petition
ABC do Not Air Work It had gained some mainstream media attention Lee put into gear a nefarious plan with two objectives. Lee wanted to hurt transgender people as badly as he could, the payoff being massive publicity for Work It.

But Lee had to patiently wait while the toxicity of the "Work It" trailer and his foul comments percolated into the transgender community. Then he took to social media with a faux look alike twitter account that said what he would have been held accountable for had the verified account said it.

Paul Lee then twisted the knife with this tweet.



Then when when the condemnation of his show escalated to a new leval the coup de grace. That picture.

Hate pure and simple personified in this vile little 'man' Paul Lee.

And amazingly this hate mirrors my life experiences. Not three months ago I finally secured a full time job, the first since going full time 5 years ago. It was perfect, only a mile from the Walmart where I am loved and accepted and still work at part time. I thought I could slip seamlessly into production at my new job.

The second day a co worker unintentionally let it slip there was a rumor started the day before I was using the men's room. My head began to spin and my sight clouded over in shock. I bypassed all of my supervisors and went to Human Relations. It seems that 'rumor' had already made it to her except one thing. She took it more as a truth than a rumor and demanded that I refute this claim made by so many of the employees.

She said she was afraid that she falsely assumed I was female when she hired me. To make a long story short she called a meeting with people that were known to have spread the rumor and told them that this sort of thing was unacceptable and if any of them were heard to be spreading that rumor again they might get written up.

Officially that was the end of the rumor however I was ostracised and made a outcast. Whole tables would get up if I sat down. And that was just the beginning of the hate after hateful acts culminating in the last one when I was unlawfully physically detained by a fellow worker.

After I complained to my supervisor I was never contacted again about it. Then I demanded to see a vice president and got the same victim blaming even a pitiful attempt to establish I was instigating false incidents. I blew that up. They didn't know who they were dealing with. I'm blond but I'm not a fucking idiot.

All of this began with a rumor vsiually validated by this picture.

Jamie Madison Shamelessly Promotes ABC Work IT

Jamie Madison claiming to be the newest cast member of the ABC Sitcom "Work It" Tweeted this picture. Madison says she feels no remorse at promoting "Work It" and for some reason thought it necessary to tell the world.



And so does the ABC president Paul Lee as he stated he wouldn't make any excuses for his decision to air Work It.

I am curious, why are the cast of Work It and the president of ABC are so defensive about their roles in "Work IT"?

Could they be aware of it's potentially damaging effects to the transgender community? Is it that they are aware Work It might cause a back lash against transgender people. Could it be that they know Work It dehumanizes cross dressers, drag queens and physically endangers those just beginning transition in the work place?

Could it be that they know the world of Cisgender (Woman born into the body congruent with their gender identity) are revolted by your patronizing the misogynists with the patriarchal concept of a "Mancession" when in truth we are paid less, promoted less and employed less?

Could it be they know Work It is just so wrong on so many levels?

Well, I'm here to confirm Paul Lee and Jamie Madison's suspicions. Just yesterday a Twitter account craftily created to appear as if it was the official "Work It" account tried to bait me into an angry response with this tweet:



But being a seasoned human rights advocate I didn't take the bait. I wasn't even aware that the origin of that tweet was not the verified ABC Work IT account (@ABC_WorkIt) until a friend alerted me.

So here's the proof Lee and Madison. And it's just the beginning of the added hate transgender people will be forced to endure by "Work IT". Lee You should be ashamed and Jamie Madison, this is the best part of your very nice anatomy and what Lee brought in to promote "Work It".

In the days of Bosom Buddies I was called a Hippyfreak Commie, Faggot

I grew up during the 60' and 70's during and just after Vietnam. As a youth I was able to wear my hair long and wear women's clothing because I looked like the war protesters. People just assumed I was a hippy. And since my political views were in line with that, it was a fit. I was also able to be bi sexual because just as it is today, sexual orientation is not a attribute openly discernible unless one is comfortable putting it on display.

But those who were closest to me, those who delighted in my discomfort, some of my family members who knew better and foes alike used to call me hippy commie freak, fag. Yes faggot. because in those days that's what society viewed all gender variant people as. A fag, a poof. Of no worth.

And I was happy with that because as harmful as the word faggot is it meant they recognized my gender was somehow different from how they were. So I remained quietly acquiescent to the defamation. Because then the very ides of living and especially working authentically was absurd. So outrageously absurd a network capitalized on gender diversity by making a comedy series about it, Bosom Buddies.

The outrageous situational "comedy" of Bosom Buddies was indisputably accepted as representative of what would happen if anyone dared to present in a gender not congruent with the one on there birth certificate.

Back then transgender people were isolated by shear numbers being less than 1% of the population and with no Internet to connect. No social media to present our agenda. But times have changed thanks to society's awakening to diversity.

However there is one man of consequence who is still living in the days of Bosom Buddy . One man who unrepentantly laughs at our suffering. A man would be perfectly happy seeing those Bosom Buddies days return.

That man is Paul Lee, president of ABC.

In fact, without anything to suggest otherwise, Paul Lee hopes for a return to those days when in hopelessness we turned to alcohol and drugs for escape. Back to the days when our lives became so unlivable we had no option to go out clumsily dressed as the woman who we KNEW we were only to face ridicule, ostracisation, violence and even death.

Back to the days when finding work as our true selves was simply absurd but as demanded by our souls, our only choice.

Not any more MR Paul Lee. We are no longer silent victims. And as the Huffington Post article stated you will probably continue ignore our outcry. In fact, you are probably basking in the attention your pitiful mockery of gender diverse is receiving. But in the long run you will be remembered as a bully and bigot you truly are.

Take off your Hat Kelli, It's not in the spirit of Christmas

Not in the spirit of Christmas. Those words floored me after hearing them from management at the Walmart I work at. Apparently a 'couple' of customers had complained about my hat. But whats 'wrong' with it? Well, I decorated as invited to do and printed the words in pink lettering "Santa's Transgender Helper". As you can see from my picture taken on a much better day, the lettering is faint and the whole message is impossible to read unless I wanted someone to.

I had only shared the message with a few friends, a couple of my supervisors who appeared to enjoy it.

But what made me cry is to think people are so very hateful and disdainful of the true meaning of Christmas as to use it as a weapon. This hat was my celebration of my love for our store and our customers. A coming out if you will.

Not in the spirit of Christmas? I beg to differ. Truly I do. I believe love, acceptance of diversity and a desire to be at peace with the earth is what Jesus Christ taught and died for.

I threw my hat out after hearing those words and left cursing this hate filled pathetic town. But after a couple good cries I began to put things into context. I was hired at this store in 2009 and that was a huge deal. People came from near and far to gawk at me and sometimes to hate on me. But gradually I became more comfortable with the town and I sincerely believed it was mutual.

Be it as it may all this drama doesn't change this: My hat has everything to do with the spirit of Christmas, the one forgotten by so many. Love, hope and peace on earth.

"Crossing Over" Undocumented Transgender Immigrants No options but Sex Trade

Within our community it is common knowledge the most vulnerable of transgender people are woman of color and none more so than those who find themselves resorting to survival sex.

Every year the Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) ranks are filled with pictures and names of our sisters of color (POC) and other ethnic trans refugees. As much as 70% of those being POC and reading the short history's alongside the names it quickly becomes apparent the vast majority were murdered while engaging in survival sex having been forced into slavery.

And now we can make a difference. Isabel Castro a cisgender student of film making at Tisch School of the Arts has a Kick Starter project to shed light on their plight. By helping to fund this documentary film exposing the horrific trials and tribulations of these three Mexican transgender immigrants, we can make a difference.

She has raised half of the $4,000 needed by December 30th to fund her Kick Starter project. I am asking our transgender community to take action on what we know is the most venerable of our community, undocumented minority transgender woman refugees.

Is Oscar de La Hoya a "Tranny"? No, She's Transgender

I'm not much for celebrity shakedowns so this one flew under the radar.

I became aware of this after reading a story by Nacomprende in Guanabee about Oscar De La Hoya: "I Did Coke, Cheated, And Yes, Dressed Up As Tranny".

The story was the atypical machismo response to what is seen as the ultimate betrayal by a Latino icon. A Boxer admitting he has a feminine side. But try as I might I could not find where Oscar said he dresses like a 'tranny'. That was just random hurtfull defamation thrown in the ring by Nacomprende

So I became curious about gay peoples take on this. Would they see it as some vague affirmation of homosexuality or as it really is, a story of gender variance. Towleroad did a good job talking about Oscar wearing feminine clothing not sensationalizing, but by no fault of their own (not being trans) they missed the real story.


Oscar de La Hoya is deep in denial and when the video was filmed riding to the top of the purge roller coaster.
It's a slow arduous climb Oscar, but when you've reached the top there's only one way to go and its a screaming thrilling seemingly empowering flight to the bottom.

But since you are locked into the rails of denial you will feel empty, untrue and filthy from the drugs at the bottom and to your eyes, at that moment, being the fighter you are the only way out is to climb back to the top.

And your friends and family might believe that you are doing right but in your hearts of hearts lies that fear you are only putting on a charade.

That monster Oscar, is your denial of your gender gift. You can only jab at it for so long but eventually, if you continue considering yourself as your enemy you will end up abusing drugs again. A crackhead. Worst yet, maybe like I was, a heroin addict.

And that monster will win again but the next time your addiction will be that much more powerful and you will suffer horribly. You may not have the money for a Beverly Hills rehab as your life fades before you. You would be better off where I went for rehab. It was called a dropkick rehab because when you got down you just got the fuck out. No pretty sun rises. Room mates drugged up for the first three days to beat jones'ing heroin addictions. Woman getting raped in the rehab by those same people. Not pretty but fucking eye opening and that my friend maybe what you need.

You have true grit Oscar and I know you'll find the courage to dismount the denial roller coaster. You need to be at our place where you feel safe, sober and transgender. Welcome Oscar. Whenever.

Postponed: St Petersburg Legislative Vote on Law To Silence Millions of LGBT people

Gay Russia has a more pragmatic take on the postponement. The article states the second reading was put off until Nov 30th because the legislature couldn't come to a consensus on the fines. Some MP's feel its appropriate to fine 'legal persons' one million rubles or approx US $32,000 penalty for gathering in public places with the intention of "propaganda" advocating for LGBT rights.

Evidently some felt a million Rubles was excessive. After all, that fine would be as obscene as the proposed law is since the medium income in Russia is $7680 effectively making again invisible to the world LGBT Russians since the majority (74%) live in the Moscow St. and Petersburg vicinity. This law would further put at risk millions since Russia proper already has the second highest suicide rate and the countries within its sphere of influence owning 9 of the 10 top spots! This tragic statistic incredulously will be made worst if the draconian legislation is made into law.


Maybe its a combination of factors as Polina believes. Worldwide condemnation. Perhaps a world leader or two have already stepped up to the plate and condemned this proposed atrocious attack on humanity? Maybe disagreeing on the amount the Legislators would find justification in letting the bill die while simultaneously avoiding Putin's wrath?

2011 a Tragic TDOR as New Delhi Fire Kills 14 Hospitalizes 40

Today was a tragic day for our family. 40 transgender people died today as they participated at the 2011 New Delhi transgender day of remembrance.

Shortly after the fire occured CNN reported that New Delhi's health minister, A.K. Walia, said an electrical short circuit was believed to have caused the blaze,

One India reported it began in the kitchen. By all accounts our sisters and brothers died a horrifically screaming for help. Our community lost some of our family today. Truly a tragic TDOR and a very sad day. Universally we mourn and offer our condolences.

Authorities continue to search for a man they believe responsible for shooting to death a transgender woman in Hollywood and shooting at another in West Hollywood on Thursday night.
He is described as black, medium-complected, 5-feet-9, 150 pounds with matted hair, light facial hair, skin tags around his eyes and wearing a knit cap. He is possibly a transient and may have been on a bicycle.

Los Angeles police believe he shot and killed Nathan Henry Vickers, 32, on Lexington Avenue, near Gower Street, an area long known for street prostitution. Vickers, known by the street name “Cassidy,” was standing in the street when he was shot shortly before 10 p.m.

About a half-hour later, another transgender woman was shot at during an attempted robbery at Plummer Park, 7377 Santa Monica Blvd., in West Hollywood. No one was hurt in that incident.

Investigators believe the same man was responsible for both shootings.

A Tennessee transgender woman who went topless in protest of the DMV's refusal to change her gender marker to female has spent 23 days in jail. Andrea Jones, who's driver license identifies her as male was arrested for indecent exposure which according to Tenn. Code Ann. § 39-13-511. Public indecency is

Starting with Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) Chief Cathy Lanier and U.S. District Attorney for Washington, DC (DA USAO) Ron Machen, who oversees the city’s federally-administered justice system, the activists will continue with Mayor Vincent Gray, and all 13 City DC Councilmembers.

WHAT: Transgender Day of Action

The grim media reports trumpet the District’s rise in violent crime against Trans people, including two murders this summer, LaShai McClean, 23, on July 20, and Gaurav Gopalan, 35, on September 10, while experts contend that crimes against Trans people are generally underreported or misreported by the police. And, MPD’s clearance rate for assaults and murders involving trans victims is just a quarter of the average rate, 20% versus 80% of crimes solved, respectively, according to Police Chief Lanier.

Late August brought together a dozen community organizations in a coalition called DC TLGB Police Watch, all determined to bring immediate, systemic, and sustainable change to the District. TLGB, rather than LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Trans people), is part of the group’s name to signal its primary focus on Trans issues. These activists intend to continue bringing public pressure on elected and appointed officials to seriously address this crisis that, sadly, includes anti-Trans violence and unconstitutional profiling by MPD officers.

DC TLGB Watch includes the local organizers of the annual Transgender Day of Remembrance, this year scheduled for Sunday, November 20, at the Metropolitan Community Church. Each year the Trans community and its allies solemnly gather to honor murder victims and their families. The Transgender of Action was conceived to honor these victims, as well, by bringing advocacy to the streets and sidewalks.

Call For Transgender Unity After St. Petersburg Russia Anti LGBT Law Proposed!
